Safety Suggestion:

Securing Tall Items--We strongly recommend that tall items be attached to the wall to keep them from falling over in an earthquake or other unusual events.

Homes with young Children--We also strongly recommend that all furniture with drawers in homes with young children be attached to the wall in case children try to use the drawers as a stairway creating the potential for toppling the furniture.  We include kits in tall furniture and if you lose these kits or need additional kits, they are available at hardware stores and home centers.  Follow the directions with the kit for installation.

Securing other items--We recommend securing heavy or top heavy items and items with power cords that are up high.  These items could fall off tables or shelves in earthquakes or be pulled down by small children.

Do not set furniture on electric cords—Always pay attention not to set any furniture on electric cords.

For more general safety information-- we suggest you consult the Consumer Products Safety Commission.
